I missed my Post-Licensing deadline. Can I save my license?

Missing required Post-Licensing before your first renewal makes your license null and void. Ordinary 14-hour CE does not satisfy that first-renewal requirement.

Your next step depends on your license type, deadline, and circumstances. A documented qualifying hardship may support a request for additional time; DBPR and the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) determine whether relief applies. Otherwise, requalification may be necessary.

My license is involuntarily inactive. How do I reactivate it?

After a missed later renewal, the education requirement depends on how long your license has been involuntarily inactive:

• 12 months or less: 14 hours of prescribed continuing education.
• More than 12 months but fewer than 24 months: a 28-hour reactivation course.

You must also complete the applicable renewal steps and pay required fees. An involuntarily inactive license expires and becomes null and void after more than two years, so the dates matter.

I failed another school’s final exam. What are my options?

A failed course final does not automatically mean you are out of options. The next step depends on whether you took a licensing, Post-Licensing, or CE course, your previous attempts, and the time remaining before your deadline.

Tell us the course name, school, exam date, and renewal date. We’ll help you understand the applicable retest or course requirements and whether a Daniel Larson Training course is an available option for you.

I completed my education, but DBPR isn’t showing it.

Start with your completion certificate and the school that provided the course. Education providers report completions to DBPR, and a missing entry may require a reporting correction.

Check the license number, course, and completion date on your certificate. If you completed the course with us, contact us so we can check the submission. If you attended another school, we can help you identify what to ask that provider or DBPR.

Keep your certificate available while the record is reviewed. Completing your education and renewing your license are separate steps.

Tell us which course or account you could not access, what happened, and when. Screenshots and support messages can help establish the timeline.

If illness, caregiving, or an economic or technology hardship prevented completion, we can help you understand whether a documented hardship request may apply to Post-Licensing or reactivation education. An explanation letter supports a request; approval comes from DBPR/FREC. DBPR does not grant ordinary CE extensions.
